What It’s Built From
The heart of it is a halogen-filled quartz tube. The halogen gas inside does two big things: it extends the filament life, preventing it from burning out too soon, and it keeps the tube from blackening over time. And the quartz body? It handles thermal shock way better than standard glass, so it can take the constant beating of being switched on and off rapidly. The connector is an R7s base—a standard industrial fit. That means it’s a drop-in replacement. You just wire it up, and it locks into place. No custom brackets. No adapters. No fuss.
Where It Shines
On a blow-molding line, this heater is the go-to for pre-heating PET preforms. The concentrated infrared energy gets deep into the material evenly, which cuts down on cycle time and stops weak spots from forming.
